Interactions between Hopcast's core engine and customers is adaptive and depends on common interests and geographic proximity. We don't bother a customer if it is not strictly necessary.
Once the link established, data fly directly between the customers without going through any intermediate node. Hopcast never touches the data!
The ideas behind Hopcast's offloading technology is the result of a 10+ year-long collaboration between Thales, CNRS, and Sorbonne Université around the broad topic of mobile data offloading and device-to-device communications.
