Hopcast's main innovation is the ability to build, maintain, and explore, in a highly efficient way, the dynamic graph connecting customers and the content they need to harvest.
Interactions between Hopcast's core engine and customers is adaptive and depends on common interests and geographic proximity. We don't bother a customer if it is not strictly necessary.
Once the link established, data travel content travel directly between the customers without going through any intermediate node. Hopcast never touches the data!
The ideas behind Hopcast's offloading technology is the result of a 10+ year-long collaboration between Thales, CNRS, and Sorbonne Université around the broad topic of mobile data offloading and device-to-device communications.
